Let me tell you something about guides and tutorials: they don’t work.

They work up to a point. But there are so many things you need to learn on your own when learning how to draw.
You don’t just read a book and suddenly learn how to draw. Works the same with any art, music, dance, cooking, anything really. You need to apply it, test it, try, try, and try again.

Here’s the thing. I can’t help you. That other artist can’t help you. Only you can help you. You need to draw and draw and draw like there’s no tomorrow, and frankly… you can’t complain. I don’t know how long you’ve been drawing for, but I’ve been drawing for 14 years and I’m still not happy with my work. But I know that if I keep going I’ll always improve.

Maybe it’s your confidence, too. And that’s also something I really cannot help you with. It’s something you need to nurture yourself. Both your confidence, and your skills.

Just keep copying life. Daily. Also, never trace. You can’t learn from it.
